TempMonitor Helps Patients Monitor Temperature-Sensitive Medications

SpotSee has launched TempMonitor^™, a single-use temperature indicator designed for patients who use insulin and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) medications.

Using SpotSee’s WarmMark^® technology, TempMonitor is able to provide a visual indicator when a medication has been exposed to unacceptable temperature levels. These single-use indicators utilize a color-changing mechanism to alert users when the storage temperatures for the medications have exceeded 30°C (86°F).

Prior to activating the tag, users will need to ensure that the WarmMark Time-Temp Tag has remained at 25°C (77°F) for a minimum of 30 minutes. Each tag is activated by folding and pulling up on the tab located at the top. Once activated, the tag is placed next to the temperature-sensitive medication.

If the tag turns pink/red, it is indicating that the medication has been exposed to unacceptably high temperatures over 30°C (86°F) for 30 minutes or less. If the tag remains white, then the medication has remained below 30°C (86°F) or has not exceeded that temperature long enough to trigger a color change in the tag.
